Hashgraph Group Launches TrackTrace to Streamline EU Supply Chain Compliance

Swiss technology firm The Hashgraph Group has introduced TrackTrace, a supply chain management platform designed to comply with the EU's forthcoming Digital Product Passport (DPP) requirements. The platform aims to help businesses navigate the stringent data mandates under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which took effect on July 18, 2024.

TrackTrace leverages distributed ledger technology to ensure secure, Immutable audit trails for product data—ranging from carbon footprints to sourcing origins. The ESPR will first apply to electric-vehicle and industrial batteries above 2 kilowatt-hours by February 2027, marking a significant step in the EU's sustainability agenda.
